This ensamble was intentionally born as a continuity and evolution of the greatest tango quintets of history, such as Astor Piazzolla Quintet or Horacio Salgán Quintet, The Real Quintet. With deep roots in the tango language, this group become an elastic and plastic material that could go in different directions, apparently less identifiable, but intimately vinculated with tango. The ideas of my compositions are well-finished thanks to all the excellent musicians that have conformed the quintet in the past and the new ones in the present.
